Before this really gets out, I want to send out some well-deserved thanks to people who have done their best to encourage and support me in this adventure and long-time dream to open a cookie company.
To my family, for always being there for me and telling me to go for it! My husband who is always willing to help out and pick up the slack when needed, but most of all for his love and support. My kidlets, thank-you for the inspiration to bake and bake and bake! I am thankful for you and your love of my cookies! To my Mom: You are the best! Hey I had to get my baking skills from someone! Thanks for all your love and support always! To the Burkeville Gals and Mom & Tots Group (2001-2004), you know who you are: Thanks for all your quality control on over 400 batches of biscotti. Your comments helped me perfect these cookies!!!And to my Dad, my number one fan! I dedicate The Original Naughty Cookie to you Dad as I know you would be very proud of me for fulfilling my dream! The Naughty Cookie Co Debuts
Biscotti, meaning “twice baked”, is originally an Italian cookie that is hard and crispy and is traditionally dunked in wine, coffee etc. Being baked twice made these cookies very easy to store for extended periods of time and therefore was historically used by soldiers and explorers.
